Japanese pagoda lanterns are in many different shapes. The different shapes or the different parts of the pagoda lantern have different meaning, as the Koi pond has a special meaning, all within the Japanese garden teeming with peace and tranquility.

There are many objects or little special displays which have special meaning. Just a guess, the two rocks in this picture may represent turtles sunning peacefully by the side of the pond.
